Jinggoy Estrada ready to accept gov’t post if Duterte offers any

Former Senator Jinggoy Estrada is ready to hold any government position after being released from three years of detention for plunder and graft.

According to a News To Go report on Monday, Estrada will accept if President Rodrigo Duterte will offer him any government post.

Estrada, on Saturday, was released on bail and left his detention cell at the Philippine National Police (PNP) Custodial Center after his lawyers posted a P1.3-million bail with the Sandiganbayan.

The Sandiganbayan has granted his omnibus motion for his temporary release but junked his motion to dismiss his plunder case for his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam.

Estrada along with his fellow former senators Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. and Juan Ponce Enrile were detained in 2014 for their alleged involvement on the P10-billion pork barrel scam. —Anna Felicia Bajo/NB, GMA News
