Duterte mum on Jinggoy’s release on bail: Ask the Sandiganbayan

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday refused to comment on former Senator Jinggoy Estrada's release after posting a P1.33-million bail.

"Tanungin mo ang Sandigan[bayan]. Hindi ko teritoryo iyan," Duterte said, waving his hand no.

Duterte was in Caloocan City to visit the wake of PO3 Junior Hilario who was killed in an anti-drug operation.

Estrada walked free on Saturday after Sandiganbayan granted his omnibus motion for bail filed a year ago.

He said that he was ready to hold any government position after being released from three years of detention for plunder and graft if Duterte would offer him any.

The former senator and son of former President and incumbent Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada is facing plunder and 11 counts of graft for allegedly pocketing P183.8-million in kickbacks by allocating his Priority Development Assistance Fund or pork barrel to fake non-government organizations allegedly owned by Janet Lim Napoles, the scam's alleged mastermind.

He paid P1 million bail for plunder and P330,000 for graft or P30,000 for each count of graft. —NB, GMA News
