Duterte declares Nov. 13-15 non-working days in NCR, Bulacan, Pampanga

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday declared November 13-15 as special (non-working) days in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Bulacan and Pampanga.

Malacañang released Proclamation No. 332 in anticipation of the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits. 

Following the presidential proclamation, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno ordered work suspension for all courts in the National Capital Region, Pampanga and Bulacan from November 13 to 15.

Sereno cited access issues and security preparations for the international summit as reasons for the suspension.

The top magistrate also directed executive judges in the first and second level courts in NCR and in Bulacan and Pampanga to maintain a skeletal force in their offices “to receive emergency filings and issuance of urgent reliefs, as may be warranted under the circumstances.”

The first level courts are the Metropolitan Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts, Municipal Trial Courts in Cities, and Municipal Circuit Trial Courts while the second level courts are the Regional Trial Courts. —Trisha Macas and Virgil Lopez/KBK, GMA News
