European orgs critical of Duterte ‘kulang lang sa iyot’ —Andanar

Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Martin Andanar had a unique description for European organizations critical of President Rodrigo Duterte.

“Iyong mga maiingay na pala-iyot, iyong mga maiingay, alam mo, ang problema sa kanila, hanggang ingay lang. Wala namang napatunayan. Kung tatanungin mo iyong kanilang mga Prime Minister, Presidente, iyon talagang namamahala sa kanilang bansa, pati sila sumusuporta kay Presidente Duterte,” he said in a video posted on Pinoy Ako Blog, an anti-Duterte blog.

Andanar made the comment while on a visit to the United Kingdom.

“Iyong mga nasa baba na pala-iyot, sila lang ang maingay kasi kulang sila sa iyot. Kung merong mga bata dito, huwag niyo na lang i-interpret iyon,” he added.

“Iyot” in Bisaya means sex. “Pala-iyot” means someone who has sex regularly.

In a text message, Andanar confirmed that it was him in the video. He said he was referring to European organizations criticizing Duterte.

"I had two [meet-and-greet] events with DDS groups yesterday in London. It was a good time to talk about political issues in the Philippines and to listen to their concerns," he told GMA News Online when asked for details about his statement in the video.

Before meeting Duterte supporters in UK, Andanar had a comprehensive tour of the Communications Division of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

He said he went to UK with PCOO Assistant Secretary Kris Ablan to attend a two-day conference in Brighton called "Making All Voices Count, Policy and Practice Dialogue." —KG, GMA News
