PNP releases year-end bonus for personnel

The country’s police personnel can now start their Christmas shopping.

This, after P4.4 billion in year-end bonus has been released by the Philippine National Police for its personnel.

PNP spokesperson Chief Superintendent Dionardo Carlos said a total of 191,480 active duty uniformed and non-uniformed personnel are set to benefit from the P4,429,302,582 fund.

Carlos said the PNP Finance Service has credited the funds to the individual automated teller machine payroll accounts of their personnel with the Land Bank of the Philippines.

He said the year-end bonus represents the equivalent amount of one month basic salary and the mandated P5,000.00 cash gift from the national government.

However, the year-end bonuses and other incentives of PNP personnel with pending administrative and criminal cases are deferred.

Carlos said this is part of their disciplinary policy. — Amita Legaspi/RSJ, GMA News
