Mocha to attend Arellano Law beginning January

Presidential Communications Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson has announced that she will be attending Arellano University School of Law.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, Uson said that the move was to broaden her knowledge on the topic.

"Starting January po mag-sisimula po tayong mag aral sa Arellano University School of Law upang mas lumawak pa ang ating kaalaman sa batas," she captioned.

The announcement came days after House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez named Uson as part of the senatorial slate of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Laban (PDP-Laban) in 2019.

Uson had expressed surprise at the announcement and said that she had no plans to run for public office.

But Uson left the door open for a Senate run, if President Rodrigo Duterte would ask her to do so.

"Kung tatakbo man po ako, ito po ay [dahil] si Pangulong Duterte na mismo ang nagpatakbo sa akin dahil ang akin lamang hangarin ay matulungan ang Duterte Administration to bring the change he promised during the election," she said. —Jessica Bartolome/JST, GMA News
