House justice panel tackles Sereno impeachment

The House Committee on Justice met on Monday to deliberate on the impeachment case against Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. Although the panel had invited associate justices and personnel from the Supreme Court to the hearing, they, however, could not attend pending clearance from the high court. Among those invited were Sereno herself and Associate Justice Teresita de Castro, who is being name-dropped as the source of the information that the chief justice had changed the recommendation in one draft resolution involving the case of a party-list organization.
