Senator Gatchalian replies ‘gago, ulol’ to trapo remark on social media
Netizens slammed Senator Sherwin Gatchalian for using curse words on his social media account after he was branded by some of his followers as “trapo” and “ingrato.”
Gatchalian, on his personal account @stgatchalian, commented on a news article, saying “The nation already lost its soul in the last 6 years.” The article was based on a statement of the former ruling Liberal Party's (LP) statemeng that 2018 “may be the fight for [the] nation’s soul.”
One of Gatchalian’s followers replied to the senator’s tweet with screenshots of his posts back in 2010 and 2012. The said tweets showed Gatchalian praising then President Benigno Aquino III as “nice and very attentive.” He also thanked Aquino’s “anti-corruption efforts.”
