Duterte promotes 7 senior PNP officials

President Rodrigo Duterte has approved the promotion of seven senior Philippine National Police officials to star rank.

The highest ranking official to be promoted was Chief Superintendent Noli Taliño of the Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development (DHRDD), who was promoted to the next higher rank of Police Director (Major General).

Promoted to the rank of Chief Superintendent were John Bulalacao of the National Capital Region Police Office; Rwin Pagkalinawan of the Cordillera Police Regional Office; Edwin De Ocampo, Carlito Feliciano and Rey Lyndon Lawas of DHRDD; and Rolando Anduyan of the ARMM Police Regional Office.

Meanwhile, Superintendents Noel Vallo and Segundo Lagundi Jr. are also promoted to the third level rank of Police Senior Superintendent.

The PNP said more police officials are set for promotion this year due to the number of retiring officials.

Among these officials are Director Augusto Marquez Jr. of the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management and Chief Superintendent Sheldon Jacaban of the Aviation Security Group.

It said the pending promotions of Marquez and Jacaban will prompt a reshuffle in key positions. —Marlly Rome Bondoc/ALG, GMA News
