Half-day work in SC, CA on Holy Wednesday

There will be half-day work for Supreme Court and Court of Appeals employees on Holy Wednesday despite Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada's suspension of work in government offices.

This was according to Supreme Court Public Information Office chief Theodore Te, who said in an official tweet that Estrada's announcement only applies to Manila trial courts.

Meanwhile, Associate Justice Antonio Carpio has ordered half-day work to all courts nationwide unless the local government units concerned declare a whole-day suspension, in which the LGU's suspension will apply.

Malacañang has likewise announced the suspension of work starting Wednesday noon in government offices, including government-owned and controlled corporations and local government units, and classes in all public schools and state universities. —Nicole-Anne Lagrimas/KBK, GMA News
