Robredo says ‘evil forces’ using wrath of masses for selfish needs

Inclusive growth is now a pressing need in the country as "evil forces" are now using those left behind for "selfish needs," Vice President Maria Leonor Robredo said Tuesday.

"Swathes of population have found a platform to let the world know that inequality and exclusivity are no longer acceptable," Robredo said during the ASEAN Forum on Enterprise for Society in Manila City.

"Their anger is fueling wars both physically and digitally, and evil forces are harnessing this wrath for selfish needs," she added.

With this, Robredo said growth in the country must be made more inclusive.

"We must think of humans, especially those who are poor and marginalized, in every decision that we make, big or small," she said.

"Because if you think about it, not all the wealth in this world and not all the tech can save our world from the boiling wrath of the masses that have been left behind by progress," she said. —ALG, GMA News
