Duterte goes on FB live having dinner with female companion amid coma talk

President Rodrigo Duterte was seen on Facebook live on Monday night having dinner with a female companion as he addressed Communist Party of the Philippines founding chairman Jose Maria Sison.

Sison had claimed in his own social media post that the Chief Executive had lapsed into a coma.

In a Facebook live taken by top aide Secretary Christopher "Bong" Go, Duterte said, "Joma ang wish ko sa buhay, maski na wala ka nang silbi sa mundong ito, mabuhay ka pa rin."

Duterte's dinner companion was later identified as Climate Change Commission vice chairperson Vernice Victorio.

"I think you are the reincarnation of... he's a guy who's been around walking around the plaet earth and he's not dying... mag research ka na lang... I'm having dinner with a beautiful lady," Duterte said.

"If you think that you're sick, come home and I'll bring you to a place. It's called Bilibid," he added.

Duterte told Sison that the communist leader was the one who was sick and was abusing the asylum granted by The Netherlands.

"Ikaw 'yung comatose. Ikaw 'yung may sakit," Duterte said.

"Alam mo, ang totoo lang, nag-complain na rin ang Netherlands kasi labas-pasok ka sa ospital, hindi ka man daw nagbabayad. You're not paying and you're abusing the hospitality of the Netherlands," he added.

To end the video, Go went out of the room and showed the rubber bands around his wrists to mock Sison's claims of Duterte in a coma.

"Ito yung sinasabi ni Joma. Ito yung goma (rubber band)," Go said. —NB, GMA News
