OVER P6.4-B SHABU CLAIMS

Duterte’s son Paolo files two more libel raps vs. Trillanes

President Rodrigo Duterte's son Paolo has filed two more libel complaints against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV over the senator's allegations linking the former Davao City vice mayor to the smuggling of P6.4 billion worth of shabu earlier this year.

According to a report on "24 Oras", Paolo filed the complaint before the Davao City Prosecutor's Office on Wednesday in connection with Trillanes' claims made in television and radio interviews as regards the illegal drugs that were later seized in a raid at a Valenzuela warehouse.

Paolo and his brother-in-law Mans Carpio, husband of Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, earlier this month also filed libel complaints against Trillanes over claims made in a radio interview in Cebu that they were involved in extortion.

Trillanes' lawyer Rey Robles said they would move for the dismissal of the raps filed before the prosecutor's office Davao City because it didn't have jurisdiction over acts allegedly committed in Cebu. —NB, GMA News
