Trillanes being arrested in presence of Senate leaders

Officials of the Philippine National Police served the warrant on Senator Antonio Trillanes in the presence of Senate President Vicente Sotto III, Senate Minority Leader Franklin Drilon and Senator Bam Aquino.

Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Jose Balajadia was also present when Trillanes was read his rights before he was taken into custody by the police officers.

"He's safe with me," National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Guillermo Eleazar told the Senate leaders before Trillanes was transported to the Makati police headquarters for booking and to the Makati Regional Trial Court for the posting of bail. —NB, GMA News
