Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot prize now over P1-B —PCSO

The jackpot prize for the Ultra Lotto 6/58 already breached P1 billion, according to Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) general manager Alexander Balutan on Monday.

"Itong P1 billion jackpot prize ay napaka-historic sa PCSO, lahat, lalo na ‘yung mga tumataya eh excited, ‘di na mapakali, at gustung-gusto na talagang manalo.
Whoever wins this prize will be the first-ever PCSO billionaire,” Balutan said in a press release.

"Alam mo sabi ko nga last time, sana maraming manalo para distributed ‘yung jackpot prize lalo na itong P1 bilyon kasi sobrang laki niyan... nakakalula! Para marami tayong mapaligaya. At habang papalaki ng papalaki ang laman ang jackpot, lumalaki din ang sales natin sa Ultra Lotto. Napakalaking tulong ito sa ating Charity Fund. Sana may masuwertehan na talaga,” he added.

On Sunday, the PCSO said there were still no correct guess combinations to win the record jackpot prize of P954,503,164. The correct numbers were 45, 21, 02, 30, 07, and 10, in any combination.

Balutan said even foreigners can win the jackpot prize as long as they are at least 18 years old and the claimant has the winning ticket.

According to PCSO, the biggest jackpot recorded in the history of the agency was the P741 million jackpot in the Grand Lotto 6/55, which was won by a lone bettor from Olongapo City, Zambales in 2010.

Balutan reminded bettors to place their bets on or before the draw, which is every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, adding that they must keep their tickets in a safe place.

"If by some stroke of luck, you really won the jackpot, the winner has to bring two valid identifications cards. Show the winning ticket to the prize claim section of the Accounting and Budget Department," Balutan said.

The PCSO chief also assured the public that everyone has a fair chance of winning the lottery game.

"The agency has a strict implementation when it comes to draw procedures, making sure that the money or bets are really there. Whoever holds the winning ticket is the winner," Balutan said.

"So sign your winning lottery ticket immediately and take extra precautions. If you can take a photo and video of yourself with the winning ticket, do it. But don’t post it publicly for security reasons. Isipin mo ang iyong seguridad at ng iyong pamilya,” he added.
