UP Diliman grad tops Civil Engineering exams


A graduate of the University of the Philippines - Diliman topped the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination given this month, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.

Jaydee Niere Lucero garnered a percentage rating of 97.20 to gain the top slot among 18 graduates who made it to the top ten successful examinees.

The PRC announced that 6,262 out of 13,887 passed the examinations.

Bicol University-Legazpi graduate Norejun de Guzman Osial placed second, while Camarines Sur Polytechnic College - Nabua graduate John Rey Moreno Pacturanan placed third.

Churchelle Mendez Ballon (UP Los Baños) made it to fourth place. Tied in fifth place were Jan Lawrence Torres Alberto (Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University) and Michael Angelo Ador Magbitang (Rizal Technological University).

The rest of the successful examinees in the Top Ten list are: Sherwin Yusay Alipio (Carlo A. Hilado Memorial State College - Talisay), Kevin Miscala Melendres (University of San Carlos), Raul Ligaya Mendoza Jr. (UP Diliman), Xavier Sorilla Altamera (Western Institute of Technology), Jayvee Rodriguez Marjes (UP Diliman), and Kenmark Jewel Vinoya Biag (University of Pangasinan).

UP Los Baños is listed as the top-performing school in the November 2018 Licensure Examination, followed by Carlos A. Hilado Memorial State College - Talisay, UP Diliman, Bohol Island State university - Tagbilaran, University of Pangasinan, and University of Santo Tomas. — BAP / AT, GMA News
