COVID-19 cases in PNP at 67 —spokesman


The COVID-19 cases within the ranks of the Philippine National Police  is now at 67, spokesman Police Brigadier General Bernard Banac said on Saturday.

Likewise, Banac said at the Laging Handa public briefing, the PNP is monitoring 74 probable and 596 suspected patients.

In a bid to help the national government in efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Philippine National Police has launched a Bayanihan Fund Challenge.

PNP chief Police General Archie Francisco Gamboa had said the police organization aimed to raise at least P200 million from the pockets of police officers to augment the government's social amelioration program.

For the PNP's law enforcement efforts, on the other hand, Banac reported that the PNP has arrested 41 people for spreading through the internet unvalidated information regarding COVID-19. —Jamil Santos/LBG, GMA News
