Ramon Revilla Sr. ‘going through a rough time,’ says son Bong

Former actor and senator Ramon Revilla Sr. needs prayers as he is going through a challenging period, according to his son Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. on Thursday.

"Daddy is going through a rough time. Please continue to pray for him," Revilla said on Facebook without further elaboration.

The 93-year-old Revilla patriarch has been recently hospitalized after experiencing difficulty in breathing.

He was spared from undergoing angioplasty after his heart check-up yielded good results.

Last Monday, Bong posted a video of how they celebrated Father's Day in his father's bedroom.

"Masaya naming naipagdiwang ang Father's Day kasama si Daddy sa kanyang tahanan. Sa kwarto niya nakadisplay ang pinakamahalagang tropeyo niya sa buhay — kaming mga anak niya," he said.

In the video, the older Revilla was seen lying in bed, surrounded by colorful balloons and several medical equipment. — BM, GMA News
