PNP reports 46 new COVID-19 cases; total at 861


The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday reported 46 new coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases among its police officers, bringing the total to 861.

According to the PNP, total recoveries rose to 407 after 17 more patients recovered from the illness while the death toll within the PNP remained at nine.

As of July 4, there were 1,151 suspect COVID-19 cases and 746 probable cases.

The PNP also urged those employees experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms to reach out to the PNP Health Service.

Meanwhile, the Philippines on Saturday reported a total of 41,830 COVID-19 cases with 11,453 recoveries and 1,290 fatalities. — DVM, GMA News
