Joey de Venecia joins Mass for Lozada at La Salle


Jose "Joey" De Venecia III, the whistleblower in National Broadband Network (NBN) scandal has arrived at the La Salle Greenhills campus in Mandaluyong City for a Mass in support of his fellow witness, Rodolfo Noel Lozada Jr. Radio dzBB reported that people at the La Salle gymnasium clapped in welcoming De Venecia III, who was greeted by former President Corazon Aquino. DzBB said Sen. Manuel "Mar" Roxas was also seen at the venue. In October 2007, De Venecia III, said he believed that President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's husband, Jose Miguel Arroyo, was the “coach" who packaged the entire contract between the Philippine government and China's ZTE Corp. for the NBN project. De Venecia III — son of ousted Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr — claimed that Benjamin Abalos, former chairman of the Commission on Elections, played as “the captain but his principal backer is really FG (First Gentleman or Mr Arroyo)."
