GMA News TV International to be launched in Australia Oct. 1


The Philippines' number 1 news channel — GMA NEWS TV — will be launched in Australia on October 1. GMA News TV International will be joining GMA International's roster of top-rated TV channels — GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV. Those who are interested to subscribe to GMA News TV may call call UBI World TV at 1 300 400 800. Sydney Kultura Fiesta Meanwhile, on October 2, GMA Pinoy TV artists and real-life couple Heart Evangelista and Daniel Matsunaga will join the 23rd Sydney Kultura Fiesta in Australia. An activity of the Philippine Australian Sports and Culture, the fiesta will be held at the Fairfield Showgrounds and will feature sports tournaments, product exhibits, beauty pageants, and artist performances.

Heart, who has been in the entertainment business for more than 10 years now, is one of Philippine’s award-winning and versatile actresses. She joined GMA Network – GMA Pinoy TV and GMA Life TV’s parent broadcasting company – in 2008. She has starred in several top-rating TV programs including “Codename: Asero," “Luna Mystika," “Sine Novela presents Ngayon at Kailanman," “Full House," “Langit sa Piling Mo," and “Dwarfina." Heart is currently seen in GMA Pinoy TV’s Sunday musical show “Party Pilipinas" where she is one of the mainstays. Meanwhile, Brazilian-Japanese Daniel Matsunaga started his career as a print and commercial model. He joined the Kapuso Network via the primetime show “The Last Prince" and was soon cast in the program “Langit Sa Piling Mo" where he met Heart. Daniel now plays the role of Dr. Raphael, a physical therapist, in GMA Pinoy TV’s “Futbolilits." Heart and Daniel will hold a meet and greet activity with their fans at the UBI World TV/GMA Pinoy TV booth. Aside from Heart and Daniel, The Library’s 2004 Entertainer of the Year and former “Eat Bulaga" co-host Kim Idol will also grace the event. All visitors of the UBI World TV/GMA Pinoy TV booth will also have the chance to be seen on GMA International channels and their websites as they sing like their GMA Pinoy TV idols.
