PHL Embassy in Singapore closed Oct 26, Nov 1, 7


The Philippine Embassy in Singapore will be closed in observance of Philippine and Singapore public holidays on October 26 and November 1 and 7. In an announcement on its website, the embassy advised clients with queries to send emails, and Filipinos in distress to text or call its hotline. According to the PHL Embassy, the dates it will close include:

  • October 26, Wednesday: Deepavali
  • November 1, Tuesday: All Saints' Day
  • November 7, Monday: Hari Raya Haji "Clients with queries are advised to send an e-mail to php@pacific.net.sg with their name, contact number and specific query. Queries will be responded to within one to three working days," the embassy said. It added Filipinos in distress requiring urgent and immediate assistance are advised to text or call the Embassy’s emergency hotline, +65.9072.2797. Deepavali marks the beginning of the Hindu New Year according to the Lunar Calendar. For this event, people clean their houses and wear new clothes. On the other hand, Hari Raya Haji is the celebration of the conclusion of the Haj pilgrimage to Mecca, at which pilgrims are given the title of Haji for men or Hajjah for women.
