Suspect in Pinay's death in Arizona to face trial over separate murder case in September

Eugene Wade Bradford, the suspect in the killing of a Filipino worker in Arizona, USA, eight years ago, will face trial next month on a different murder case, according to an article on Arizona's webpage, azcentral.com.

Bradford, blamed for the disappearance of Filipino caregiver Eleanor Pigon Su in 2006, is also accused for the death of Natalie Allan, who, like Su, was a former girlfriend of Bradford's.

"Through a spokesman, the County Attorney’s Office declined to comment on either case. Trial in the first one, Natalie Allan’s death, is scheduled to begin Sept. 23," the azcentral.com article read.

Bradford is being tried for two counts of first-degree murder, with the added charge of kidnapping in Su's case.

An article on East Valley Tribune's website said Su, a caregiver, was found in a trash can at an Arizonian storage unit in February 2011. She went missing after leaving Lovin' Manor Assisted Facility, the retirement home she worked in, on June 11, 2006. Her disappearance was reported by her brother on June 16 of the same year.

Su left the Philippines in 2005 to provide for her children after separating from her husband.

Bradford has denied involvement in Su's death, the azcentral.com article said. He reportedly told the detective who investigated her disappearance that Su was in the country illegally and was trying to find a sponsor. He claimed to have dropped her off at the corner of University and Country Club in Mesa after work so she could meet someone who would sponsor her. He said he didn't know where Su went afterwards and suggested she had disappeared under a new identity.

Su's body was found when the storage unit that Bradford owned in Westview Self Storage was cleared in February 2011 after failing to pay for nearly a year.

Bradford was indicted for Su's murder on December 4, 2012. He was already in prison by the time the charges were read out for Allan's murder.

Bradford was arrested at a diner in June 1, 2010, after the diner's manager recognized his face on TV, according to a report on ABC 15's website. — Rie Takumi/KBK, GMA News
