Duterte personally welcomes arriving OFWs from Qatar

CLARK, Pampanga — President Rodrigo Duterte on Thursday night welcomed 34 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who arrived home from Qatar for the holiday season.

Dubbed as "Pamaskong Salubong Para sa OFW," the event was organized by the Department of Labor and Employment and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration. It was not part of Duterte's original schedule in Pampanga.

The President dashed to Clark International Airport after attending the first Kapampangan Food Festival.

At the airport, Duterte distributed to the OFWs iDOLE cards, P50,000 cash, P10,000 and P3,000 worth of appliance packages, and special tokens. —KBK, GMA News
