Floods worsen in Cotabato City - report


MANILA, Philippines - The flooding in Cotabato City continued to worsen with the entry of the high tide, dzBB radio reported Tuesday morning. Water from the Rio Grande River continued to submerge several houses in floodwater, with water lilies and vegetation making matters worse for residents. As much as 75 percent of the city had been reported "underwater" as early as last weekend, according to the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC). The NDCC earlier said the city's flood woes began with heavy rains brought by typhoon "Frank" last June. - GMANews.TV
