20 arrested in 'shabu tiangge' raid in Subic

At least 20 people were taken into custody in a raid on a suspected shabu "tiangge" (flea market) in Subic town in Zambales province Friday. Police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives acting on a tip conducted the raid, radio dzBB reported early Saturday. Raided was the area at Purok 6 in Calapacuan village in Subic, the report said. But it was not immediately clear how much methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) was seized during the raid. Anti-drug operatives have been cracking down on such drug flea markets, which sell small amounts of drugs at "affordable" prices to residents. — LBG, GMA News
