Woman, son fatally hit by lightning in Batangas

A woman and her son were killed after being hit by lightning in Nasugbu town in Batangas province Monday evening, police said Tuesday.

The incident occurred in Barangay Pantalan in Nasugbu town, radio dzBB's Rodil Vega reported.

Citing initial information, a separate dzBB report identified the fatalities as Mercedes Grumal and son Mark Anthony Gruma.

An investigation showed the two were on their way home when a bolt struck them. They were rushed to the Jabez Medical Center but were pronounced dead on arrival. — Joel Locsin /LBG, GMA News
