Dumaguete City Tourism Officer Woodrow Maquiling Jr. also said in his Facebook post that his city and Alameda are "in the process of planning various activities."

For his part, Sagarbarria turned over to Spencer a commemorative token—a miniature replica of the Dumaguete Cathedral belfry, one of the city's well-known landmarks, made from semi-precious stones.
