Former vice mayor from Bulacan dies in ambush

The former vice mayor of Pandi town in Bulacan was shot to death by a lone gunman early Tuesday morning, according to a report by Rodil Vega for Super Radyo dzBB.

Roberto Rivera, 61, was shot five times by a still unidentified gunman using a 45-caliber pistol in Barangay Namatan, Pandi town, Bulacan.

Based on initial investigation, the gunman was riding in one tricycle and transfered to another before shooting the victim. The police are still conducting an investigation to determine the motive of the killing. — BAP, GMA News
