Duterte gains One Cebu party's support

The political party of the Garcia clan of Cebu province has formalized their link up with PDP-Laban standard bearer and Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte.

A photo posted on Once Cebu party's Facebook page shows Duterte with the political party's gubernatorial candidate Winston Garcia, the former chairman of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS).

The alliance was made a few weeks after the Garcias withdrew their support for United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) standard bearer Vice President Jejomar Binay.

One Cebu party founder, Cebu Third District Rep. and former Cebu governor Gwendolyn Garcia earlier filed a leave of absence from UNA.

Gwendolyn is seeking a re-election while her brother Pablo John is running for the congressional seat in the new seventh district. — BAP, GMA News
