Sun.Star: Sex scandal hounds GenSan as tuna festival approaches

Gen. Santos - A sex video scandal allegedly involving two City Hall employees here grabbed the limelight as the annual Tuna Festival draws near. Scheduled to start on August 29 until September 5, this year's festival theme is "Layag-Gensan-One Pulse, One Force, One Cruise." Layag means sail on. Vice Mayor Florentina Congson described the sex video as "embarrassing" and that it had sparked calls for an inquiry in aid of a local legislation. The video propped up last week as final preparations for the annual tuna festival shifts to high gear. Ernie Quisay, chief of staff of the City Mayor's Office, urged the City Council to craft an ordinance that would prevent the repeat of such sexual exhibition. The sex video, with the title "GenSan City Hall Scandal," continues to proliferate through cellular phones. Sarah Sanchez, City Hall's human resources officer, said her office has obtained a copy of the "scandal" and was in the process of verifying the identities of the couple through the photo gallery of employees. But she initially told reporters the couple in the sex video does not seem to belong to the existing manpower of the local government. This was not the first time that a sex video scandal allegedly involving residents shocked and distressed local officials. Previously, a sex video depicting a female student also proliferated in this city. - Sun.Star
