A 19-year-old member of the bandit Abu Sayyaf Group has surrendered to authorities in Tipo-Tipo, Basilan.

In a post on his Facebook account, GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño quoted 74th Infantry Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Ernest John Jadloc as saying that Abuhair Kajing a.k.a "Badero" had turned himself in to authorities, saying he wanted to live a normal life.

Jadloc said Abuhair also surrendered his firearm and ammunition.
