Kadamay member who joined 'Occupy Pandi' arrested over shabu use

A member of the urban poor group Kadamay was arrested Tuesday after he was caught using shabu in Barangay San Roque in Pandi, Bulacan, GMA News' Jun Veneracion reported on 24 Oras on Wednesday.

The suspect was identified as Michael Morillo, one of the Kadamay members who occupied thousands of vacant government housing units in Pandi last March, the report said.

He said he bought the shabu for P200.

"Lalong magiging mahirap. Michael Rey Bernardo, deputy chief of Pandi police.

Seized from the suspect were drug paraphernalia and identification cards, which included one stating that he's a Kadamay member.

The report said Morillo is a Kadamay member for almost two months.

Kadamay chairperson Gloria Arellano said they would look into the possibility of removing Morillo from their ranks.

Kung tutuusin, isolated case nga po 'yan," she said.

Meanwhile, four other drug suspects were arrested inside the housing units provided by the government.

The suspects will be facing charges on drug possession, the report. —Anna Feliciano Bajo/KBK, GMA News
