Davao City locals blasé over martial law, take selfies with armored car

Davao City's residents, especially millennials, are taking the declaration of martial law in Mindanao lightly.

According to a Saturday report on GMA 7 news program "24 Oras Weekend", an armored fighting vehicle parked in front of the Davao City Hall was like a tourist spot as civilians took pictures with it.

They also took selfies with the soldiers deployed in the area.

These young people also supported President Rodrigo Duterte's declaration of martial law.

Meanwhile, an unidentified sociologist was alarmed over the seemingly blasé attitude towards martial rule.

"Meron silang mga maling kaalaman," the sociologist explained.

— Anna Felicia Bajo/DVM, GMA News
