Pacquiao-Horn fight to be streamed live in Marawi City

Evacuees and government troops in war-torn Marawi City will get a chance to witness live the fight between Filipino champ Manny Pacquiao and Australian boxer Jeff Horn on Sunday.

This, after the provincial government provided a live streaming access of the fight at the capitol compound, a Super Radyo DZBB report said Sunday morning.

According to Lanao Del Sur assemblyman Zia Alonto Adiong, Vice Governor Bombit Adiong installed a cable link in the provincial capitol for the live streaming of the bout for all all evacuees staying at the capitol compound.

Alonto Adiong said Filipinos, both Muslim and Christians, are huge fans of Pacquiao.

Being able to watch the Filipino champ fight live will help the evacuees forget their unfortunate situation in Marawi City for a while, he added.

Dubbed as the "Battle of Brisbane," the Pacquiao-Horn fight will take place in Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.  —Erwin Colcol/LBG, GMA News
