Barangay chairman in Rizal shot dead

Motorcycle-riding gunmen shot dead a barangay chairman in Teresa, Rizal on Monday morning.

Chief Inspector Renato Torres, Teresa police chief, identified the victim as Arvin Dexter Zapanta, chairman of Barangay San Gabriel.

Torres said two unidentified motorycyle-riding gunmen carried out the deed near the barangay hall at around 7 a.m.

A radio dzBB report said the victim was inspecting the garden project near the barangay hall when the gunmen drove by.
