Policeman dies after zipline breaks

A policeman died on Monday after falling from a damaged zipline cable, according to a report on "State of the Nation with Jessica Soho."

Based on an initial report, PO1 Andrew Escober Tamayo fell from a height of 20 feet then drowned in the lake below the zipline at a resort in Los Baños, Laguna province.

Resort management assured that Tamayo was wearing safety gears such as a life vest and head gear.

He underwent first aid treatment and was rushed to the hospital but he died.

The officers of the resort declined to give a comment on the incident. However, they assured that the management will shoulder all the medical and burial expenses.
