2 college students found dead in Rizal

Still wearing their school uniform, two college students were found dead in Barangay San Jose, Rodriguez in Rizal province.

A report of GMA News' Chino Gaston on "State of the Nation with Jessica Soho" on Wednesday identified one of the victims as Charmaine Villarias.

The other victim who was a young man was not yet identified by authorities. He sustained two stab wounds in the body while his feet were tied together.

Meanwhile, authorities are looking into the possibility that Villarias was raped after she was found with no underwear while her hands and feet were tied. A piece of cloth was also tied around her neck.

"Most probably na-rape po 'yun. 'Yung mga guards doon sa area na may sinesecure din sila don, sinabi po nila na they heard a shout asking for help," said Supt. Hector Grijaldo.

A resident said the area, where the two bodies were found, were often visited by students and sweethearts.

"May mga estudyante po talaga na nagpupunta po diyan," said Edna Atrasado.

Police are looking into robbery as the motive of the crime as the victims' money and cellphones were missing.

"Maaaring hinoldap sila... may nawawalang gamit," said Grijaldo.

Police said they already have a person of interest on the incident.

They are also checking if the case is connected to other holdup and killing incidents in the area.

The victims' bodies were brought to Heaven's Gate Funeral Homes in Antipolo, Rizal. — Anna Felicia Bajo/BAP, GMA News
