2 fishermen from Quezon province missing

Two fishermen from Quezon province have been reported missing since Wednesday, local authorities said Sunday.

The San Francisco town police office identified the missing fishermen as Antonio Bueta, 57 and Jomari Ybañez, 25, both residents of Barangay  Pugon.

Municipal police officials said that one Neil Khristian Noblejas on Saturday reported that the two have not returned home since Wednesday. 

An initial investigation showed that the two fishermen set out to sea to fish at about  6 p.m. on October 18, on board a motor banca. 

The local government, along with concerned citizens, has already deployed a search and rescue team for the missing fishermen. —Peewee Bacuño/LBG, GMA News
