PDEA seizes P400K worth of marijuana in Cotabato

Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 12 seized P400,000 worth of marijuana in Arakan, Cotabato, a report on GMA News' Unang Balita said Monday.

The report said PDEA agents confiscated 2,000 marijuana plants and more than 100 marijuana seedlings from a certain Jerome Tolusan.

Authorities immediately burned the marijuana plants and seedlings, the report added.

Tolusan, meanwhile, is facing complaints for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act. 

The PDEA has taken over the anti-illegal drug operations from the Philippine National Police. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
