Make up artist to celebrities found dead in Cavite

A make-up artist was found dead in General Trias, Cavite, GMA News' Marisol Abdurahman reported on "24 Oras" on Thursday.

Dindo Malig, a 33-year-old make-up artist to celebrities, was found with a smashed skull and several stab wounds in a grass patch on Sunday.

The police recovered a hammer near Malig's body, along with his blood-soaked clothes of the suspects.

One of the suspects, a minor, surrendered and confessed that he committed the crime with two accomplices.

He used his motorcycle to bring the body to dump it in a field that was about 200 meters from his home.

General Trias Police, who saw robbery as a motive, are on the hunt for the two suspects.

The suspects had a drinking session with Malig at his house last Satuday night. The next day, he was found dead a few meters from his house.

There was no sign of forced entry into Malig's home but gadgets and jewelry were missing.

"Pinuwersa. Noong ayaw, pinagtulong-tulungan na. Nag-resist lang itong biktima...After siguro noong pag-iinom nila, that's the time na ginawa nila 'yung krimen," said Chief Insp. Bryian Merino, General Trias Police deputy chief.

Malig worked as a make up artist for TV programs "Wagas" and "Da Originals." Malig's clients include actors Alden Richards, Katrina Halili, Nora Aunor and Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina.

Some of the celebrities extended their condolences and joined Malig's family in seeking justice for his gruesome death. — Margaret Claire Layug/BAP, GMA News
