Ten members of the New People's Army laid down their arms and surrendered to the military on Thursday.

The NPA rebels—seven men and three women—surrendered to the Philippine Army's 901st Infantry Brigade in Villahermosa, Daraga, Albay.

The rebels turned over their high-caliber firearms, among them three M-16 rifles, one shotgun, and one M-79 grenade launcher.

The NPA members were scheduled to be presented to the commander of the PA's 9th Infantry Division on Friday morning. —Peewee Bacuño/KG, GMA News
