Aircraft crash-lands off Palawan


An aircraft carrying two foreign nationals crash-landed in waters off Palawan on Sunday afternoon due to an engine failure.

Superintendent Imelda Tolentino, spokesperson of the Mimaropa regional police office, said the aircraft crash-landed near the Turublian Resort in Barangay New Agutaya, San Vicente town at around 1:30 p.m..

Tolentino the two foreign nationals identified as Malaysian Harinalan Munianday and British Max Edward Harvey sustained injuries.

Both pilots were brought to the Rural Health Unit of San Vicente for medical treatment.

Tolentino said the aircraft was on its way to Manila from the San Vicente Regional Airport in Palawan to deliver live fish.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines is scheduled to conduct an ocular inspection on the area. —Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/ALG, GMA News
