Broken Maynilad pipe causes water to shoot two storeys high on Coastal Road

A busted pipe of Maynilad Water Services caused water to shoot two storeys high along Coastal Road in Cavite, according to a report on Unang Balita on Monday.

The water leak was spotted on the southbound lane of Coastal Road just after the Parañaque Toll Plaza on Monday morning.

Grace Laxa, spokesperson of Maynilad, said there is a road widening project scheduled in the area on March 7.

Maynilad said it will fix the leak as soon as possible.

Water interruption

Meanwhile, Maynilad announced on its Twitter account that parts of Las Piñas City in Metro Manila, Bacoor, Kawit, and Imus in Cavite are experiencing a temporary interruption in water service since 7 a.m. Monday.

The service will be restored by 7 p.m. Monday.
