2 children died due to suspected food poisoning

Two children died due to suspected food poisoning in Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, according to a report on Unang Balita.

The siblings were identified as Joemarie and Jollymar Rusia.

Their mother and two other siblings were hospitalized after they complained of stomach ache and vomiting.

They all ate seafood known locally as Tipay, Aninikad, and Kumong-kumong.

The neighbors of the Rusia family, who also ate the same seafood, have not fallen ill.

The Municipal Health Office are investigating the incident to determine the source of the suspected food poisoning incident. — BAP, GMA News
