Ex-Santo Tomas, Batangas vice mayor hurt in shooting incident


The former vice mayor of Santo Tomas, Batangas was wounded after a gun attack Saturday night.

Ferdinand Ramos, 59, was walking home in Barangay Poblacion 2 when he was shot by an unidentified gunman at around 7:25 p.m.

Police said the victim, who was hit in the left portion of the face, was brought to the Saint Cabrini Hospital.

The gunman reportedly fled the scene on foot.

According to a report on Super Radyo dzBB, authorities are still trying to determine how many suspects were involved in the attack. — MDM, GMA News
