Hindi bilib ang militanteng grupo na Migrante International sa inilunsad na OFW ID o iDOLE ng Department of Labor and Employment na ipapalit sa Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC), na sinasabing "best gift" ng administrasyong Duterte sa mga overseas Filipino worker (OFW).

"How could it be the 'best gift' when even the DOLE is clueless on its relevance?" tanong ni Arman Hernando, tagapagsalita ng Migrante sa inilabas na pahayag.

"There is as yet no implementing guidelines on how it is supposed to function. It will not even benefit all OFWs and only new hires," puna pa niya.

Nitong nakaraang linggo, inilunsad ng DOLE ang naturang identification card na libreng ibibigay umano sa mga OFW na legal na nakapagproseso ng kanilang papasukang trabaho sa ibang bansa.

Ang mga employer umano ang sasagot sa gastos sa ID at hindi rin kailangang mag-apply ang mga OFW para sa pagkuha ng ID.

Ang OFW ID ay joint government project umano kasama ang Social Security System (SSS), Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), PhilPost, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, at Pag-IBIG Fund, para magamit nila sa transaksyon.

Pero paniwala ni Hernando, ginawa lamang ang OFW ID o iDOLE para makapagpasikat ang administrasyon sa mga OFW sa ikalawang State of the Nation Address (SONA) sa July 24.

"Unfortunately, it has been exposed as yet another money-making scheme as quickly as it was hastily launched by the government," aniya.

Idinagdag ni Hernando na wala ring garantiya na hindi papasanin ng mga OFW ang gastusin sa ID.

"Since when has this stopped them (employers) from passing on the burden to recruitment agencies and, consequently, to OFWs?" tanong pa niya. —FRJ, GMA News
