Nitong Biyernes, nagkaroon ng story conference ng staff at cast ng "Sa Puso ni Dok." Ito ang unang medical series kung saan ipakikita ang iba’t ibang problema ng mga pampublikong ospital ng bansa.

Pinagbibidahan ito ng batikang aktor na si Dennis Trillo na head resident doctor sa Melchora Aquino General Hospital. Sa kaniyang karakter, maipapakita ang kabayanihan ng mga pampublikong doktor kung saan maging ang kaniyang personal na oras ay iginugugol niya para makatulong sa ibang ngangangailangan nito.

Makakatambal dito ni Dennis si Bela Padilla, isang bagong General Practitioner na nadestino sa pampublikong ospital mula sa private medical school. Dito, mamumulat siya sa iba’t ibang problema ng ospital at malalaman rin niya ang korapsyon na nagaganap dito.

Sa storycon, ikinuwento ng dalawa na excited sila sa series at nagpapasalamat sila na sila ang napili sa role.
 
“I am very excited because it is the first time that I am portraying the role of a doctor," kuwento ni Dennis. "At the same time happy that I am involved with a show that will further inform the public of the difficulties of the medical profession."
 
“My guts turned and I couldn’t breathe for a bit, that’s what made me realize that I should do a show about doctors,” sabi naman ni Bela.
