LOOK: What Mommy D plans to do again for Pacquiao-Algieri

Last April, Dionesia Pacquiao — better known as Manny Pacquiao's Mommy D — was the toast of the Internet after getting caught on camera gesturing during her son's fight against Timothy Bradley.

 

While some wondered whether "Pac-mom" was putting a hex on the American fighter, she later clarified that she was actually intensely praying for her son.

 

In the past, she could not stand watching her son fight for fear of his safety. "Naglakas-loob ako para tulungan siya," Mommy D told Mav Gonzales on "24 Oras" on Friday.

 

She believes that her prayers helped her son a great deal during the Bradley fight, which ended with Pacquiao regaining the World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight title.

 

"Malaking suporta yung pagyakap ko sa kaniya, pagdasal ko sa kaniya, pray-over ko sa kaniya," she said.

 

And with Manny climbing the ring once more on Sunday in Macau against Chris Algieri, Mommy D plans to do the same thing again, even posing for a shot of her now famous gesture:
