Swiss develop tech to safely store nuke waste
A full-size model of the Swiss High-Level Waste disposal concept is displayed in the cavern of Nagra's Grimsel Test Site in Bern. In 1972, nuke plant operators and the Swiss Confederation set up Nagra to search for solutions for the safe disposal of radioactive waste arising in Switzerland in a way that ensures the long-term protection of humans and the environment.
